NEW MUSIC

Every other Monday at the Radio Ranch is Music Meeting. That's where we get together and listen to tunes from the Nashville New Music Truck and see what we might be playing soon.

From yesterday's meeting...here's what we're digging and hopefully, you'll be digging too.

Alan Jackson, I Still Like Bologna (only Alan could sing this and make it a hit)
Zac Brown Band, Toes (these boys are on a roll)
Dierks Bentley, I Wanna Make You Close Your Eyes (ladies if you love Dierks, you'll love this one)
Mallary Hope, Love Lives On (she is brand new and full of talent...this song hits you right between the eyes)
Joey & Rory, To Say Goodbye (saddest song I've heard in a long, long time)
Jerrod Niemann, One More Drinkin' Song (Jimmy Buffett anyone?)
Cross Canadian Ragweed, Kick In the Head (country from CCR-you gotta love it)
two more new guys that are really good and you'll be hearing...Josh Thompson and Easton Corbin

You'll start to hear these songs through the month of August. If you've got opinions on new music...please shoot me a message.

SUGARLAND

Much has been made of Jennifer Nettles scrapping several performances lately because of voice problems and now Kenny Chesney has come to the rescue with this statement.

"It was really sad to see the way some people reacted to Jennifer needing to cancel her appearance in San Francisco last weekend -- and it seems to me we should all be concerned about her long-term vocal health more than any single show that she may not be able to do. Naturally I'm disappointed she's not out here with us -- cause she is a friend as well as an act I know the fans enjoy -- but I think it's more important that she have the time to heal properly, rather than forcing herself to try and rush back onstage. I know she'll be back before the summer, and can't wait to have her back out there. But it's about doing the right thing, and we should all be supporting her in that."

One thing is for sure...hope that she gets well soon...she plays with Keith Urban in Tulsa August 8th and headlines the Zoo with Billy Currinton on 9/11.
